Okay,so for those of you wondering,no I have not been abducted by aliens,impregnanted by monsters or run off and gotten married. All three of those things I'm sure would be awful,yet cool,but no. So,it seems like I'm always apologizing for a long break when in truth I probably should just stop but once again permit me to apologize for my long break.
Hey,everyone. Okay,so I hope your Christmas was merry and joyful. I hope that you had a great time with your family and friends and if you didn't have a Merry Christmas you had a happy Kwanzah or a fantastic Haunakah. This said the reason for my extended time away,is explained simply by the following words.
It's retail!
One of the joys of working in the customer service/retail field is at Christmas it is total insanity! No seriously! You start working in October and by January you're lucky you remember your name! In any event the last few weeks have been totally crazy! Sunday I worked from 10 in the morning until 9 at night,Monday,Christmas Eve, I worked from 12 to 6, obviously I was grateful by then,to have Tuesday off but the fact was I was back at work on Wednesday for the day after Christmas. Oh,and for those of you wondering if you thought Black Friday was bad permit me to explain something.
The day after Christmas is the day you wish,at least in retail, that a long period of silence followed Christmas. It didn't! My shift got extended and well my 9 to 1:15 got turned into a 9 to 4 and the only break I was blessed emough to get was my 30 minute lunch. The rest of the week evaporated into a blur and luckily,I was fortunate enough to have yesterday off!
All things considered Christmas wasn't too bad! I actually had a pretty relaxing day,overall. Austin and Collin woke up bright and early,5 a,m.,but let the adults sleep until 8. We opened presents and hung out and then headed off to Den,my sister in law's,and JJ's so he could open his presents. Overall,not a bad night.
This year,in terms of presents, Austin and Collin actually asked for the same gift. WWE Brawlin' Buddies. Austin wanted Rey Mysterio and Collin wanted John Cena. I got them that,pj's and another toy while JJ got a toy train,a pair of pj's and a book. I actually think I spent about $200 on gifts for the whole family including a shirt for New Guy,a gift box of perfume for Tiff,dad got a $10 Dunkin giftcard and mom got a nightgown.
My gifts were kind of similar. I got a giftcard from Tiff and New Guy,which has so far bought some chocolates and a giftbox of perfume by Candies',slipper socks and pj's. Not much else is going on. I have to work again tomorrow so I'm off to bed. Good night,everyone and latta gators!

I remember those months when I worked in retail! It was SO busy, but such a thrill for me! I'm glad that it's over for you now, and hope that you're able to get back to normal hours!
