Comedy Of Errors

Greetings and happy Saturday. Hopefully, you're feeling accomplished and joyful.  I'm just relaxing after an extremely long night at work.  Long but productive and so far I hope I'm doing as good a job as I think I am.  I've been told things are going really well so for that I"m grateful.  My shift started at 5 and ended just after midnight. 

Anyway, before that I had some time to kill so I spent time with my mom.  Sadly, I have not been able to go visit Gram because I've had a slight,well...severe,cold.  The last time I went she was full of Hell.  She was angry,she told me my hair looked awful and she wanted me to quit my job and stay home with her.  (She wanted to move in with us.)  Okay,anyway,after that morning I went back and my cousin,Lauri,was there. Somehow it seems Lauri can calm her down. 

So,that brings me to yesterday.  I slept in,because I worked until 10,and when I woke up mom asked if I wanted to bring Gram a coffee shake.  Per her request.  Anyway,we went to the closet McDonald's to get her one.  Unfortunately, the lady at the window informed us that they replaced the coffee shakes with egg nog.  We shrugged it off and got her strawberry. 

I walked into the nursinghome,went to the elevators and headed up.  I stopped at the nursingstation to say hi to the nurses,who have actually become friends,and Jen informed me,"Your cousin is in with her."  Gram had been washed up,Linda,the head nurse,was in the bathroom emptying the water and Lauri was in setting up a little mini Christmas tree.  I walked over,put the shake on the tray and I noticed something. 

"Oh,you've got to be kidding me!" Lauri exclaimed.
"Oh,no way!" I said. 

On the tray was a....COFFEE SHAKE!

Both of us starting laughing.

"I was going to get her strawberry," Lauri said. "but they replaced it with egg nog."
"We were going to get the coffee that she asked for but they replaced it with the egg nog."  I told my cousin.

My cousin and Gram were having a wonderful visit so I quickly exited the room.  Laughing the whole entire way.  I stopped off at the nurses station again to inform Jen that Gram had not one but two shakes.  I guess you had to be there. 

Anyway, today is my day off.  I actually have today and tomorrow off.  My feet are sore,my head is hurting and all I'm thinking is this is terrific.  I feel like I just accomplished something.  Okay,off to relax and enjoy the rest of my two days off. Talk to you all soon.
