What can I say other then it's been a lonnngggg day! First, let me just say that I want to take a second to wish each and everyone of you a joyful and happy turkey day. It's Thursday,I made it through another week without killing anyone,and believe me I've had some LOVELY reasons,but instead of looking at all the minor annoyances,and the major ones, I'm going to instead focus on my blessing today.
1. Having a terrific meal at my sister's. We got to Tiff and FBIL's around 10 a.m. and I had a great meal. I kept pushing for dessert and finally had two pieces of the yummy chocolate pudding pie.
2. Getting to snuggle in bed and take a nap. It was nice to just relax and do nothing. I contributed cornbread and cheesecake but overall I ate and helped pack things up. When we got home I settled into bed,snuggled under my blankets and fell into a restful sleep until it was time to go to my brother's.
3. I have three adorable nephews. Austin and I spent the morning playing Connect 4 and Polar Bear bowling and Collin and I were singing songs and cuddling. I got to see baby Jaedyn's nursery tonight and watched him kick my sister in law. I know it sounds awful but I'm just super happy that I will have anouther beautiful,healthy little boy to light up my life.
4. The delicious cheesecake. I did make cornbread too and that was okay but I LOVED the made from scratch cheesecake I brought to my sister in law to satisfy her cheesecake craving. It was soooo yummy!
5. Not having to work Black Friday! Look, I love shopping as much as the next girl but wow! This state is going insane. Toys R Us is opening at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving,Walmart at midnight and Target too. I'm all for working and earning cash but wow!
6. Going home and putting on warm pj's. Right now I'm relaxing at Tiff's,Collin is watching TV on the couch,but soon I'll go home,put on a movie,put on fleece pj's and go to sleep. Ahhh....me.
7. Contemplating the idea of a minor shopping spree and a mani/pedi after Christmas. It's been hitting me lately that I need to update my wardrobe and the best time to do that? After Christmas. I think I might even throw in a Vera Bradley bag for not destroying some lady at the store the other day who rammed a shopping cart into my ribs.
8. Eating a couple bites of the yummy ham my brother made. I have to give my little bro full props. The man can cook!
9. Being relatively healthier then I was last year. Ummmm...hypertension SUCKS!
10. Being done with this list. Think I officially O.D.'ed on turkey. I can barely keep my eyes open!
